Repair of crosshead at site in the engine room of a freighter with HDW in Kiel, Germany.

Both crossheads turnings showed defects all along the cylinder surface such as scorings and nicks of approximate 0,2 - 0,35 µm.


Repair of a SKF coupling.

The damaged areas around the inner diameter reduce the support. The defects that have sometimes been only 1 mm deep were filled with copper, the whole diameter was coated with a 0,5 mm copper layer and then grinded to size

Nickel coating at a ship's generator shaft via the Selectron Tampongalvanising process. The worn bearing surface - see picture - can be repaired without any problems.
